After police arrive, suicidal woman jumps into the Providence River

At about 11:30 p.m. Monday, five Providence police officers responded to India Point Park, after hearing reports of a woman threatening to jump off the bridge over the Providence River, according to a police report provided by Major Thomas Verdi. The woman was sitting on the rock near the river when officers arrived.
